Abstract

The height of the water level In the river is one of the necessary parameters measured for early flood detection. This research aims to develop a flood early warning system prototype using water level sensor integrated with NodeMCU to measure water level. The tools and materials used are : NodeMCU, Water sensor level, Buzzer, LCD to display water level, ThingESP module is used to provide information on water levels as well as flood warnings via WhatsApp short messages and give orders to close or opens the sluice, and a servo motor is used to model the sluice planning, Material Collection, Making Miniatur System, Hardware Design, and Creating a NodeMCU program by combining the ThingESP and Water level sensor. The results and discussion of the research obtained are the water level sensor can read the water level and miniature floodgates opens and closes according to the command sent short message on WhatsApp by the user.
