Abstract

Internet of Things (IoT) is a technology that is currently developing. IoT makes it possible to control and monitor the use of door locks remotely via a smartphone. One of the IoT supporting devices for monitoring this door lock is the Selenoid door lock. Because of its usefulness, an ESP8266-based automatic door lock was created using IoT. The method used to make ESP8266-based automatic door locks using IoT is an experimental method. ESP8266-based automatic door locks using IoT consist of a Selenoid door lock prototype and the Blynk application. For communication needs, the Arduino IDE protocol and the IoT Platform are used. The results of the study show that smartphones can be used to control Selenoid door lock prototypes and open and close locks on doors that have been installed with solenoid door locks.
