Abstract

STMIK El Rahma Yogyakarta is a private university engaged in computers. In the teaching process STMIK El Rahma has used the system as a tool to support teaching and learning activities, but the system used is still website-based. In this study, we will build a mobile-based SiAkad application design that will apply the Design Thinking method in its design. This method was chosen because it can provide a solution-based approach in solving a complex problem by understanding user needs, to taking a direct approach to prototyping and testing. In the test, the research used the System Usability Scale (SUS) method, this method was chosen because SUS is useful for assessing the usability and function of various products, one of which is digital products such as websites and applications. The average score obtained by the System Usability Scale method is 78.41. These results fall into the Acceptable category, so this application design is good to use.
