Abstract

LPG gas leaks are one of the biggest causes of fires if they are not handled immediately, with the establishment of an LPG gas leak system, it is hoped that it can reduce the risk of fires that cause fatalities and material losses, especially at the NIKITO Putri Kost which is often empty when the occupants are left working or studying. The research was conducted by designing a gas leak detection system by applying the concept of the internet of things and WeMOSD1 as a hardware control that was arranged with several hardware devices so that a prototype was built with the Blynk application as a monitoring tool. The results of the study resulted in a tool that will detect gas leaks and be able to monitor gas environmental conditions with Blynk as a connecting application via a WiFi network.
